和晒 暁天
和晒の特徴は、木綿の生地を48時間〜72時間「釜」でゆっくり漂白することです。
工程を重ねた木綿の繊維はふんわりとした円形を保っています。
白度も洋晒に比べて白く、生地の縮みも少ないです。
柔らかく真っ白な和晒は、お肌にやさしく昔から重宝されてきました。
布きん、手ぬぐい、腹帯、腹巻、おむつ、ゆかた、介護用下着、仏事、神事など幅広く使われています。

Washirashi Gyoten
The characteristic of washirashi is that cotton fabric is slowly bleached in a “kettle” for 48 to 72 hours.
The cotton fibers that have been bleached through the process maintain their soft, round shape.
The whiteness is also whiter than Western-style bleaching, and the fabric shrinks less.
Soft, pure white washirashi is gentle on the skin and has been treasured since ancient times.
It is used widely for cloth cloths, hand towels, belly bands, belly warmers, diapers, yukata, nursing underwear, Buddhist and Shinto ceremonies, etc.
